i found BOYY bag back in 2007 through a friend's recommendation and blogged it for the first time at november 2007, i've been following them since then. i like that the simplicity of their design. i was thinking then that unlike some new emerging bag designers, the designs are not overdone, but it's not plain simple either. to me, i see that the designers think about their bags thoroughly.
and one day they emailed me saying that they would like to participate in this blog, my day couldn't be any better :p
and here i am finally holding one of them yayyy

about the bag :
i was practically tired of carrying my bigger bags and i love the size of this Slash Bags
it's perfect for my basic needs and prevent me from carrying unnecessary items, and i could use in many ways.
i could tone this bag down and wear it with the all black sides and look classic, i could make it scream by wearing it with the snake patterns sides front, and i could use this as a clutch as well for parties or night out

leather and strap:
the leather on the bag is beautiful, i can smell the leather and i like it. it's soft and slouchy but thick.
the snake part of the bag is very interesting, i usually don't like snake skin embossed but this one is done nicely. the picture will talk more than i can.
there's some differences you'll notice from my pictures and the one you will find at the www.BOYYbag.com site now.
the gusset here on mine is leather instead of suede like the one on the online shop now, which is a fact i like :)
i also find a difference in the strap, the one i got is more like the strap on Slash bag i blogged by May 2009 if you might notice the leather and hardware on the strap


hardware and closure :
the hardware is silver and the closure is zipper with 2 leather pulls.

compartments :
i love the quick zip outside, it's 6" opening with depth almost til the bottom of the bag. it's a perfect place for my blackberry.
the inside lining is beautiful think dark brown satin and it has one huge zipper compartment stretches for 8" width and around 5" to the bottom, quite spacious to me.

what i can fit in there :
what i fit the bag now is one A5 sketch book, ipod, blackberry, long wallet, make up case, sunglasses and my digital camera i'm using to take this picture with

durability :
this is definitely the bag you can wear everyday without worrying about it.

where i wear this bag :
totally everywhere, i can wear this bag for daily shopping, work, concerts and parties when i took the strap off and wear it as a clutch

verdict :
this bag worth the price

BAGSdrive "Yves Saint Laurent Muse Two"

the one i got is the large one i believe.

personally i like YSL bags, but i never really felt the urge to having one before.
i was in love with the downtown but i never managed to gather my effort in having one, i think the muse is classic and love it worn by other people but i don't think it's the right bag on me, and i'm obsessed with the besace but my obsession limited itself on browsing and dreaming, and i'm talking about me, a kinda girl that when she wants a bag, she will find it to the corner of the earth
but when i first saw the YSL muse two bag i was astonished, the tricolor was the first one i saw and it struck my heart that very moment
what i love about this certain tricolor is the linen edges makes the bag slouch, just the way i like it

about the bag :
i think i first saw the bag at resort 2008, the blue croc nubuck suede was modeled by Kate Moss for the YSL print ad
the large one was was retailed $1,895 and the medium $1,645
the bag is made out of 3 leather combination and linen, the front part is magenta leather, the sides are dark blue leather, the back, bottom and flap is black leather, the edging are made out of linen which goes to function as the inside lining as well
i wasn't really keen on getting this at first because i see that i could have some trouble opening and closing the clasps, but well, i give it a try :p

leather and strap:
the bag's made of buffalo leather, i find it thick but somehow slouchy and i can smell the leather, love it!
the shoulder strap is a thick leather, and when it first came and i don't have anything inside, the strap always slide from my shoulder, especially because they thicken the leather on the space of the flap below the strap which purpose is to strengthen it and i have small shoulder, so the thicken part on the top flap kinda bulking me. though when i put my stuffs inside and weighed the bag down, i have no more problem, the bag don't slide anymore, so problem solved

hardware and closure :
the hardware is in gold and heavy, just the way i like it!
the main clasp can be a troublesome sometimes, if i don't push the toggle til it clicks, it would easily open up again. the two button on the sides of the main clasp is also helpful to not slouching the bag too much, but sometimes i prefer not to buttoned it so the bag will slouched on the sides, i guess it all comes down to each preferences

compartments :
there is one huge outer compartment with 3 toggle on the back of the bag
on the inside there's one huge zippered compartment in the middle, the sides were clasped to the middle part on the top sides of the bag, the bottom part is not clasped or sewed to anything, so it doesn't really separate the space
it's nice to place a laptop separately at the back side and some other things on the front, also there's no other zippered hardware so it wouldn't scratch my laptop. but it's kinda useless if you try to separate small things like wallet or pocket camera because in the end those stuffs will mingle in the bottom anyway

what i can fit in there :
actually i can fit a lot in there, but daily i only carry 1 wallet, 1 balenciaga coin purse for powder and blush, 1 balenciaga mini coin purse for changes, ysl cigarette holder, blackberry, ipod, keys, notepad.
i put my macbook 13" in the picture for reference how it fits nicely in the bag too.

durability :
i think this bag can stand a few toss around, although you have to be careful of the edge linen lining, it gets dirty very easily. the leather itself is very durable imo

where i wear this bag :
i certainly limit myself for using this bag on casual and business, it's a perfect bag to bring for shopping or working because the size allows me to carry my laptop in it.
and moms can use it as a diaper bag too
but it would not be a nice bag to carry for formal or dinner event i think
the variety of colour on it allows me to wear it with any colour wardrobe, well, i kinda don't care about colour managing my outlook anyway :p

after one week :
i love it! i thought i wasn't sure about keeping this bag before, but yeah i'm definitely keeping it.
it's light weight, it's huge, it has nice compartments, it has classic shape and the style will stay around

verdict :
this bag worth the pennies i spent, but i wasn't paying this in normal retail price

BAGSdrive "Chanel Classic Flap"

Chanel vintage jumbo classic flap

i got this bag few years ago in used condition for a very good price considering the price of new classic flap are increasing every year and i choose to get this one instead of the latest classic flap because i don't like the more curvy shape of the new flaps
i've been using this bag on and off, but for this "bagdrive" feature, i use this for a whole week non-stop to feel it more and give a right review.

about the bag :
it's a vintage Chanel classic flap , from the hologram sticker it dated back to 1997 and after more than a decade, this bag still is very pretty.
there's tarnishing on the metal that is considered a flaw to most people, but to me it'll only gives the bag more characteristic
i heard some people complained on the quality of new classic flaps, but

leather :
the leather is perfect for me, black caviar skin, very thick and durable. i don't need to worry when i toss this bag around, and yes, i'm a bag abuser

hardware :
the chain straps are heavy, but i wouldn't exchange them to a lighter metal material, i like it the way it is, the weight makes the bag stay on my shoulder. Although when i fill the bag full, it'll weight a lot and hurt my shoulder if it hang there for hours non stop (which doesn't really happen a lot)

compartments :
there's an outer compartment on the back side of the bag that i use to put small changes or papers for easy access, but it's limited to place flat pieces only
inside there's 1 zipper compartment and an open one. still limited to flat pieces
it's not easy to take out things from the flat compartment, that's why i don't put coins there anymore, to me it's a place for papers or receipts

what i can fit in there :
right now i'm carrying one 230 pages novel, 1 long wallet, 1 balenciaga coin purse for powder and blush, ysl cigarette holder, blackberry, ipod, keys and i can still fit few more small items if i want

durability :
this is one bag i can comfortably toss around without worrying a thing

where i wear this bag :
i can take this bag anywhere i want to... mmm but i won't take this on summer vacation on broad daylight, the chain strap will burn my shoulder hahaha
but honestly this bag can be brought everywhere, i wear it with jeans tee and sneakers for casual shopping, i wear it with summer dress and sandal, i wear it with formal little black dress and heels.
i can wear frock and gowns and it looks feminine
i can wear jeans and leather boots and it rocks
i can wear with slouchy tees, shorts and sandals and it still make me look dressed up

after one week :
i love this bag more and more, truly one of the easiest bag to match with any outfit but there are times when the bag becomes a burden on my shoulder, like when i go shopping that took hours browsing shops non stop so i switch from right to left shoulders and vice versa at times.

verdict :
this bag is totally worth every penny
it can be worn in so many occasions for so many years to come
a Chanel classic flap is a good investment for every women, doesn't matter if they're the latest or vintage
